Breed: German Shepherd Dog

Age: Young

Sex: M

Size: L
Guinness has recently arrived in rescue following an extended stay at the pound. He is a handsome fellow who looks very much like he might be a single breed German Shepherd Dog. Guinness is a sweet guy with a fairly soft personality. This young boy is happiest to be where the people are and he does not like to be confined. He loves people of all ages, and had lots of fun greeting the trick-or-treaters at his foster home during Halloween. Guinness loves playing ball and his foster mom has found this is a great way to burn off extra energy. He has been very good about keeping all four on the floor, except when he pounces on his foster mom to get her attention, give her a big bear hug and roll around like a goof! He is still very puppish in his mannerisms. Guinness loves going for walks and he has great leash manners. He also loves being brushed and groomed. Guinness is working on his create training - he isn't very fond of going in but is improving everyday. Guinness is also a bit uncertain about getting into vehicles, but isn't too bad and will improve with time and experience. Guinness did take a couple days to settle into his foster home, and was somewhat stressed moving into a new environment. He tends to pace and whine when he is stressed, but after his initial time settling in, he has done wonderfully. He has shown nothing but a great disposition with all of the people he has met, and he has been great with the dogs in his foster home. He doesn't mind sharing his toys and is very tolerant and good natured. Guinness is a very sweet and handsome young boy who just needs a little time and training to reach his full potential! (Indoor Home Only!)
