Vespa was rescued from an animal impound along with seven of her siblings and her parents back in the summer of . After being adopted almost a year she was returned to rescue, being a little too rough for her adoptive family and their young child. Vespa almost found permanent placement with her foster family, but Vespa and her foster sister spell too much trouble for the porcupines along the hiking trails her foster dad frequents. Vespa is a confident young girl who is very loving and loyal. She is housebroken and crate trained, but can be trusted loose in the house. Vespa has excellent housemanners and even has a few tricks she can show you! Vespa is a very affectionate companion and a wonderful playmate. She loves to walk and being an active young dog, Vespa does need a lot of exercise. She does well off leash, but tends to get a little overexcited when things like bicycles fly by. Vespa likes to chase things that move quickly, and she does have a high prey drive. She will "hunt" anything from cats to porcupines to deer! Vespa gets along well with other dogs and she is very sociable with other canines. Vespa would be best suited to a home with a dog experienced owner. She is a very intelligent girl who learns quickly. She needs a home where both her mind and body will be exercised. (Indoor Home Only!)
